Bridal Boudoir Course Yesterday

April 23rd, 2010

Yesterday we ran another fully-booked course on bridal boudoir here at the studios. The energy (and the music) was up! Here are just a few of the great shots we took. The course has been great for building confidence and providing a set of poses that will work with your clients.

1-2-1 Session Today

April 9th, 2010

We ran another 1-2-1 session today with Mike. The specific agenda we pulled together for him was aimed at improving his use of ambient as well as flash light. In the afternoon we spent time with him adding to his post production skills using Lightroom and Photoshop. Here are some of the shots from the morning shoot with Lauren.

Speedlights In The City Course

April 2nd, 2010

Thanks to everyone for coming along to the Speedlights In The City course last night. After a drink, briefing and Q&A our intrepid little band ventured off into London’s bustling Chinatown for the evening shoot. It’s amazing what can be done with just one speedlight and some modifiers! Here are some of the images from the evening…

There are a couple of places left on the next course on 5th May if you would like to join in the fun!

Here is what Mil, who was on the course, had to say on email today …

“Many thanks for your time on Thursday, both you and David McNeil were awesome in your training and your humour kept the cold away.  My first course was the inaugural Funky Portraits and both David and Mike set the bar quite high….the speedlight course was on par if not slightly better.

I am looking forward to the Boudoir session at the end of the month and will aim to book a couple of more course by the end of the year too…”

Matthew’s Funky Portraits

March 30th, 2010

The Funky Portraits course continues to get some really great feedback. Matthew Stainer was on the course and here is what he had to say … “Hello just a quick note to thank David for the Funky Portraits course which I attended last week. As an amateur, before attending I was not 100% certain what to expect or whether it may have been totally beyond me, but I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I think I learnt a lot, which I can hopefully take forward into my own photography.” We think his images are great and here they are … well done Matthew …

February Wedding Portfolio Course

February 17th, 2010

We had a good (if not cold!) time on Monday, working at the fabulous Hedsor House and then over at Bisham in the afternoon.  Thanks to all our models who braved the icy winds with just a dress on!

New Course: Speedlights in the City

February 10th, 2010

We have just launched our latest course – ‘Speedlights in the City‘. Come along for a fantastic evening shoot in London’s Chinatown. The first course date is Thursday 1st April. The course is aimed at photographers who would like to learn how to get the most out of their Speedlight flash system. We will create some amazing images by blending both flash and the ambient light of downtown Chinatown.
