“A brief note to thank you all at ‘The Trained Eye’ for a fantastic course last week, it really did exceed my expectations in every way right down to the superb sandwiches for lunch.

I was always enthusiastic about setting up a wedding photography business but now I also feel informed & motivated to do so. As soon as I am up and running properly I intend to enrol on your academy so I can maximise my potential with the business.

Feedback About The Acdemy

We get great feedback from clients after our courses, and sometimes it’s a case on not having the time to blow your own trumpet here on our blog. We are going to try and fix that in the future! Here are some comments just in from Karen who has been through our year-long programme – The Academy. The final session with this group was revolving around the creative use of off camera flash (hence the reference to Speedlights).

“A huge thanks for the Speedlights course. I have finally lost my fear of the dreaded flash. I got some great images which I will blog later (just about to edit them).  Wanted to chat to you both but the evening went so quickly and I was totally absorbed with the course. I didn’t actually expect to love it so much being such a fan of natural light photography but this was so creative. Really good course. Now it is officially the end of the course I just want to thank you both for everything over the past year. Its made a huge difference to my life and its only the beginning. I know I have so much more inside and I have the skills now to bring it out. I owe you both so much for that.

Got another Wedding yesterday yey…………. Its the couple on my blog (maternity shoot). Its a great feeling when someone books you and loves the shots but when they come back for more that’s brilliant”.

“Thanks for a great day on Monday’s wedding portfolio builder day. I have so many lovely photo’s and really learned a lot. I was really nervous and worried how I would cope but all of you were very patient, encouraging & inspiring. It was especially good to get so much one to one discussion throughout but still managing to keep the day running so smoothly … I hope to see you guys on another course soon!”

“Just wanted to say thank you for the course yesterday, I got some great images and really learnt a lot. Everything was done very professionally, from the instruction to the fab and accomodating models. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Latest Academy Course Starts

The latest running of The Academy course started in July. The Academy programme is our year-long mentoring course. Many of the students are looking to extricate themselves from the daily grind and pursue their passion professionally.

The first module of the course was orientated around very practical uses of marketing tools and techniques. We also headed out on a shoot to put into practice some of the photography skills that we will be perfecting over the next twelve months.

It is always a pleasure to work with people who are so motivated and passionate about photography!

April Wedding Seminar Courses

We managed to time both of April’s Wedding Seminar courses perfectly, catching the April sunshine before it disappeared!  Two really good groups full of enthusiasm, and we wish you all the best out there!  Here are some of the kind words you sent in, along with a few of our images from both courses:
